KIDS' MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE CAMP Explore our mountain environment this summer with our 3-day kids' camps! The camp is based around the Wild Safe BC Rangers program. We will teach the children about wildlife awareness and hiking safety on the trails at Fernie Alpine Resort. Each child will get a fun activity booklet while playing interactive games and learning to become a Junior Ranger.

KIDS' & YOUTH FREERIDE MOUNTAIN BIKE CAMP Teaching kids ages 8-16 to ride hard and safely while building confidence. Our tailored multi-day camps are designed to suit your child's specific abilities and age group. Step inside the interpretive centre in the yurt at the top of the Elk Chair and explore fossils, artefacts and information about the unique geological formations and fossils to be found and the wildlife that makes its home here in the Elk Valley. The yurt can be accessed by taking the Elk Chairlift, open daily through the summer.

Complimentary interpretive walks from the Interpretive Centre down to the base area are offered daily, departing at 2:30 p.m. and lasting approximately 1.5 hours.

Located in a beautiful shady tree island at the top of the Elk Chair, kids will love to explore and play in this forest playground. The Elk Grove is a vibrant addition to the other summer activities that guests can access via the Elk Chair. Families can embark on a day of adventure, starting their visit with a ride up the Elk Chairlift, and exploring the Elk Grove Forest Playground and Nature Bob’s Interpretive Centre. Enjoy a family-friendly hike, passing by an observation deck with spectacular views and educational interpretive signs. Then return to the Bear’s Den to enjoy refreshing beverages, snacks, and everyone’s favorite – ice cream!
