Mount Washington Alpine Resort (MWAR) has been a must-visit destination for Vancouver Island snow sports enthusiasts for over 40 years. With 5 chairlifts and a dedicated beginner learning carpet zone, Easy Acres, MWAR's terrain offers adventure for all ability levels. Get amongst solo snowy laps of varied terrain on-piste, or a good ol' boot pack into the powder-filled back bowls with your best pals.

The Outback terrain via Boomerang Chairlift offers an incredible snowpack and an out-and-back experience unlike any other. With 1,700 acres of ski terrain, a vertical rise of 1,657 feet, and unmatched alpine to ocean scenery, MWAR is the place to be!

Nordic skiing at Mount Washington offers a fantastic opportunity to explore the winter wonderland surrounding the resort. The trails at Raven Lodge provide a serene and scenic setting for cross-country skiing, and the facilities and services available ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for Nordic skiers of all levels.

Snowshoeing

The quiet serenity of Strathcona’s old-growth forests will do more for your well-being than a day at the spa. Snowshoeing at Mt. Washington will transport you to a magical wonderland featuring 22 kms of meandering trails with unexpected views. Trail passes, rentals and maps are available at Raven Lodge.

Fat Biking

Fat Bikes are now available at the Nordic Centre located at Raven Lodge. Enjoy parts of our Nordic trail system on a fat tire mountain bike. Approximately 15 km of beautiful and scenic cross-country trails for two-wheel exploration.

Tobogganing

The classic experience of traditional tobogganing is a must-do family activity! Conveniently located at the Raven Lodge in the Nordic area, there is a warm fireplace and a full-service cafe steps from the sliding area. Tobogganing available at Raven Lodge only. Only open weekends and holidays.
