Skiing & Snowboarding
Skiing on RED Mountain often marks a visitor's first experience with the Rossland area.
Brand-new terrain on Grey Mountain ringing in at nearly 1,000 acres. 22 new runs. A new lift installed. A new restaurant where you can, like, install a new ketchup stain on your $500 jacket… The expansion to Grey means more of everything you love, plus a massive increase in Intermediate terrain for families and mixed-skill groups. This recent expansion bumps the "local legend" into the Top 10 of all North American resorts in terms of terrain scale—while maintaining its position as #1 in pow aficionados' hearts.
RED Mountain Terrain Park
RED’s Terrain Park is all geared up for your shredding enjoyment.
With new jumps, jibs, and park-wide sound system, big change is in store for the Terrain Park with a new jump line as well as a flowy line of small features that boost progression. We have newly refurbished rails and plenty more new features on the way! Our on-hill park staff is dedicated to the quality of features and the safety of RED’s skiers and boarders.
Visit terrainparksafety.org to educate yourself in terrain park safety.
Mt. Kirkup Cat Ski
THE TRIP WAGON IS BACK AS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE ADVANCED SKIER/RIDER TO EXPERIENCE PAY-PER-RUN CAT SKIING!
Every Saturday and Sunday once snow depths allow, hitch a ride from the summit of Grey Mountain in our snowcat, nicknamed the Trip Wagon, to the top of adjacent Mount Kirkup. You and 12 other guests will savour powder shredding with an incredible 2,054 foot vertical drop (626 meters) on runs that take you back to the Grey Chairlift, or even further down to the Topping Creek Chair! No avalanche gear required or guide needed. Hop back on the chair and do it all over again. Your legs will need the rest!
The Mt Kirkup Cat operates every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm, weather permitting.
